Content Mobility Road Warrior: What’s in My Bag?

By Lindsey Tishgart | May 1, 2014

Enterprise mobility has continued to be a hot topic across all industries, from large enterprise to small and medium-sized businesses. Going mobile first is becoming the norm, and companies everywhere are realizing the benefits. With an increase in a mobile-first approach, many Road Warriors are now transforming into something new. Something modern. They are becoming the new Road Warrior: A Mobile Road Warrior. The definition of a Mobile Road Warrior is this: a Road Warrior using their mobile devices to present and sell at their best. On the outside, it’s not too much of a change from the old definition of a Road Warrior. Can switching over from selling on a laptop, to selling on a tablet really change the outcome of a sales meeting?

It most certainly can.

Mobile devices and solutions are transforming the way we sell, and how we interact with our prospects or clients. It allows us to have a conversation, instead of hiding behind a bulky laptop screen. It also is allowing for new presentation technology to surface, like Mediafly SalesKit, to help us sell at our best!

I recently took the Mediafly executives aside, and had each of them lay out what they would typically bring in their bag on a trip. At Mediafly, we sell our SalesKit solution and the Content Mobility Cloud platform. Therefore, executive and sales representatives are armed with a technology that enables them to sell from their tablets easily and effectively. Each executives bag were different, but all had certain similarities as well. For instance, with devices slimming down, having the right connectors is a must. Even though we are Mobile Road Warriors, we need to always be prepared to connect to a variety of systems. A Mobile Road Warrior utilizes the latest technology, but should also be conscious that others may not have caught up. Mobile Road Warriors should always be prepared, just like they have always been.

The photos below shows all our executives and their mobile gear, giving you a taste for just want it takes to make a Mobile Road Warrior. Enjoy!

EVP Matt Suggs

Last but not least, we have the bag of our Executive Vice President, Matt Suggs. As you can see, we saved the best for last. Mobile Road Warriors need to have a bag for their work, but sometimes kicking back and making sure to relax is not such a bad idea either. Thanks for being a good sport, Matt!Matt's What's In My Bag
