Forrester Marketing Forum 2017: Aligning Marketing and Sales

By Lindsey Tishgart | September 28, 2017

Aligning marketing and sales teams within an organization is one of the biggest challenges that many large enterprises face today. As technology changes how we work and interact with customers, it is imperative that initiatives around digital transformation that align sales and marketing become part of a company’s goals.

From October 5-6, Forrester Research will be tackling this topic as they host their B2B Marketing Forum at the JW Marriott in Austin, TX. The forum will have different sessions discussing customer expectations and how to build personalized experiences that have a firm impact on ROI. The event will teach attendees how aligning marketing and sales can grow long-term, profitable client relationships. One of these stories will be Mediafly’s customer MillerCoors.

MillerCoors will discuss how they faced challenges in a saturated market with increasing competition. This led the company to initiate a complete overhaul of the company’s go-to-market approach, searching for the right tool that would help align their sales and marketing teams. Mediafly was brought in to build an app that aligned different departments while building better sales engagement experiences with customers. In addition, the company also deployed a robust reporting system, informing marketing on how distributors use content in the field, giving them the insight on what kind of sales content was needed. This then helped their marketing team design future programs and messaging. The end result led MillerCoors to see a reverse of several years of market share decline in specific segments.
