SXSW is the dream convention for businesses. All the latest visionaries, innovators, and artists gather together and geek out over how innovation is changing the way we work, live and interact. It is a great way to network whether you’re are a new or established business trying to stay relevant.
Here are just a few reasons why we are excited for SXSW 2015:
- All the latest gadgets will be unveiled… There will even be a robot petting zoo! Count us in for that. Some other cool gadgets are Sony’s Smartwatch and HP’s Virtual Reality Display (who isn’t excited for that?). Check out Inc.com’s list of other incredible gadgets.
- There will be some excellent sessions to attend… There will be so many good panels, but we’ll just name a few we are excited about: CJ Gammon “The Evolution of the Web,” Leigh Christie’s “Art Vs. Purpose- Innovation in Marketing,” and finally, “Big Data and AI Need Each Other, and You Need Both.” If that is not enough, people like Dan Rather, Malcolm Gladwell, and Rand Paul will be speaking. Basically, SXSW is a collection of Ted-type Talks with some of the most intriguing speakers discussing our market and how to improve it.
- SXSW is not just an interactive convention but a music and film festival as well… The convention mixes the mainstream with the lesser known. Musicians will be performing throughout the entire week. As for the films, some notable films we are excited for are Ex Machina, and Amy Schumer’s Trainwreck. Lastly, expect to see some great keynote speakers at the Film Conference like Ava DuVernay, Mark Duplass, and Ryan Gosling (we can all swoon when we get there).
- Finally, Mediafly will be there! We will be walking the floor, and soaking up all the knowledge SXSW has to give. We hope to see you there!
SXSW can be overwhelming but stimulation (ok, overstimulation) allows us to put away our preconceived notions and allow our creativity to soar. Your thoughts and ideas are best when they are unhindered and unbridled. When you get there, don’t forget to download the SXSW app and interactive guide, and let your inner geek go wild.
