The next era of revenue enablement is here

By Mediafly | 8 min read
What does it take for enterprise AI to move beyond experimentation and start driving measurable business outcomes?

That question was front and center in May as the Mediafly team joined SAP customers and partners at several marquee events across Europe and the U.S.

From the Deutschland SAP User Group conference to the OMR Festival in Hamburg to SAP Sapphire 2026 in Orlando and Madrid, one message came through clearly: the future of revenue teams will not be powered by more AI tools. It will be powered by AI that is embedded in the business, grounded in real data, and built to execute.

In conversations with revenue leaders around the world, we heard the same frustration again and again: bolt-on AI delivers novelty, not enterprise impact. Like disconnected point solutions, it creates more complexity instead of more value.

The real differentiator is not how much AI a company uses. It is how well that AI understands the business, the workflow, and the outcome it needs to drive.

With its Sapphire announcement of the SAP Business AI Platform and vision for the Autonomous Enterprise, SAP is creating that foundation—connecting Joule, industry-specific AI, ERP and CRM data, and critical workflows into one governed system of execution.

For enterprise organizations, that is the unlock: AI that is practical, operational, and accountable for results.

Why Mediafly is built for this moment

Mediafly’s vision aligns closely with SAP’s: AI only creates value when it is embedded in the way revenue teams actually work. That is why our platform is built to bring content, learning, value selling, and performance insights directly into the seller workflow—not off to the side.

For SAP customers—and any enterprise running a CRM—that matters. Mediafly is not another standalone tool sellers have to remember to open. Our purpose-built experience operates directly within SAP Sales, Service, and Marketing Clouds, embedding enablement into daily workflows to drive adoption, speed, and consistency at scale.

Our unified platform brings together enablement, content, value selling and realization, learning, and performance insights so every customer-facing team can act with more confidence and precision. The result is simple: faster deals, stronger adoption, and measurable business value before, during, and after the sale.

That is the shared goal for Mediafly, SAP, and the enterprise teams we serve: turn every customer interaction into measurable business value.

Here are a few of the moments from OMR and Sapphire that made that next era feel very real.

OMR 2026: Where the vision came to life

Thousands of marketers, revenue leaders, and digital innovators gathered in Hamburg for OMR 2026—and the energy around AI was impossible to miss. SAP’s CX presence captured that momentum perfectly, pairing its “Ready. Game. Set.” theme with an AI-powered paddle court that brought both the message and the crowd to life.

As the only SAP-endorsed platform for revenue enablement, Mediafly used the event to show what AI-powered revenue enablement looks like when it is connected to the seller workflow. Our demos highlighted how enterprise teams can move faster, sell smarter, and get more value from SAP through:

  • Higher SAP adoption and consumption, adding even more ROI to the investment in SAP
  • Faster deal cycles with embedded value selling and AI-driven insights
  • Increased productivity using content and training embedded into SAP workflows
  • Actionable insights from engagement data for complete visibility into what shapes the customer experience

For Mediafly, revenue success does not stop at the first closed deal. It extends through adoption, retention, expansion, and long-term customer value—and that is exactly where this next era of enablement gets exciting.

Mediafly was also proud to partner in several customer conversations with Donna, the AI assistant built for field sellers, at both OMR and Sapphire. Together, we showed how voice-first workflows, embedded content, value messaging, and buyer insights can help sales teams operate with greater speed and precision across every stage of the customer journey.

With Donna enabling natural, voice-first interaction and Mediafly delivering the right content, value story, and engagement insight in the flow of work, teams can have better customer conversations and produce measurable impact. Just as importantly, meeting prep, follow-up, and post-call administration becomes lighter—giving revenue teams more time to focus on customers.

Those conversations at OMR all pointed to the same conclusion: companies are done chasing AI for the sake of AI. They are looking for connected platforms that can produce results.

SAP’s Autonomous Enterprise raises the bar for AI in the enterprise

AI is everywhere. Results are not.

That gap—between experimentation and execution—is exactly what enterprise leaders want to close.

At Sapphire, SAP addressed that challenge head-on with the launch of the Business AI Platform and its broader Autonomous Enterprise vision.

As Jan Gill, Global President Customer Success, Enterprise IT explained on stage in Orlando, the complexity problem is not AI itself. It is the fragmented systems and disconnected data AI is too often forced to work across.

When apps, workflows, and data are disconnected, outcomes break down.

That is the problem SAP’s Autonomous Enterprise is designed to solve: creating a system that understands the business, anticipates needs, and executes with precision—turning complexity into an advantage instead of a barrier.

SAP’s argument is compelling: its ERP core already holds the process data, business logic, and governance enterprises need to make AI trustworthy and operational. Layer on industry context, and the Autonomous Enterprise becomes a practical model for scaling AI across the business:

  • To enable businesses to operate smarter, respond faster
  • To free up capacity for what matters most
  • To use AI not only to generate insights, but to drive execution end-to-end

SAP defines the Autonomous Enterprise Suite as an end-to-end system of execution—bringing agents, applications, and data together in one connected workflow across the enterprise.

Just as importantly, SAP puts people first. People set direction. AI assistants orchestrate. Agents execute. Both act within a trusted governance framework. Decisions are grounded in real-time intelligence, workflows are automated, and teams have more capacity to focus on higher-value work.

This, Jan said, “is how AI becomes truly operational across the enterprise.”

With the Autonomous Enterprise announcement, SAP made its direction unmistakable: it is positioning itself not just as a software company, but as a business AI company. Joule, first introduced in 2023, has evolved far beyond a simple assistant. It is becoming a context-aware engagement layer that can reason, plan, execute tasks, self-correct, and deliver outputs in multiple formats.

In this evolved model, Joule becomes the engagement layer across the Autonomous Enterprise—connecting users to data, departments, and workflows and pushing enterprise software toward something much more outcome-driven: software as a result.

Five announcements at SAP Sapphire 2026

1. The Autonomous Enterprise

People define strategy while AI drives execution with real-time intelligence, automation, and continuous optimization across the business.

2. Joule Work

A unified workspace where AI assistants and agents help employees make decisions and take action across SAP.

3. SAP Autonomous Suite

AI-powered assistants and agents streamline end-to-end business processes across finance, supply chain, HR, procurement, and customer experience.

4. Industry AI

Purpose-built AI solutions designed around the real-world complexity, data, and workflows of specific industries.

5. SAP Business AI Platform

A connected platform that enables businesses to build, manage, and scale AI securely across systems, data, and applications.

Autonomous CX and the shift to connected customer workflows

In the SAP CX keynote, SAP went deeper on Autonomous CX, one of the five pillars of the Autonomous Enterprise alongside Finance, Spend, Supply Chain, and HCM.

Importantly, SAP framed each pillar around business outcomes—not AI for AI’s sake—based on its customer research from Q4 2025:

  • Improving operational efficiency: 65%
  • Growing share of wallet with existing customers: 65%
  • Expanding markets: 54%
  • Launching new products and services: 49%

“The business expectations for AI value have moved beyond simple efficiency gains into broad strategic imperatives,” said Balaji Balasubramanian, SAP Customer Experience.

But as Balaji noted, there is still far more AI activity than alignment across customer experience today.

Autonomous CX is SAP’s answer to that gap: bringing sales, service, commerce, marketing, and the broader CX ecosystem together so customer-facing teams can operate as one connected motion.

The goal is straightforward: complete business continuity at scale.

To get there, SAP argued, people, data, interfaces, and execution all have to stay tightly aligned. Without operational connection across systems, outcomes remain out of reach.

To achieve them, he noted, business process intelligence is a requirement.

That idea is especially relevant for revenue teams. Autonomy in customer experience only works when every domain is paired with deep process intelligence and stitched into an end-to-end workflow—not deployed as isolated assistants or disconnected agents.

A toast to the future of revenue enablement

To close out Sapphire in Orlando and Madrid, Mediafly and Donna co-hosted Happy Hours that brought together customers, partners, and SAP leaders to talk about where sales and customer experience are headed next.

The takeaway from those conversations was consistent: enterprise teams want to move faster from insight to action, reduce friction across the customer journey, and make AI useful in the places where work actually happens.

That is exactly where Mediafly is focused. As a proud SAP partner, we will keep advancing our revenue enablement platform with practical AI, embedded workflows, and measurable value realization—helping enterprise teams turn every customer interaction into a smarter move and a stronger business outcome.
