Salesforce World Tour Chicago: Top 5 Things to Check Out in the Windy City

The Salesforce World Tour is coming to Chicago on June 15th at the McCormick Convention Center. Mediafly will be participating at the event at booth #111 to talk about the integration of our platform with Salesforce, and how it can help you and your organization become Evolved Sellers™.

The McCormick Convention Center is located in Chicago’s booming South Loop neighborhood. If you are looking to take a break from the day’s events, but don’t want to wander too far from your home base, the South Loop has some great places to keep you busy. We asked five Mediafly-ers what to do while visiting our beautiful city, and here are the top five things we highly recommend you check out while in the area:

EAT – 14 Parish

Ryan Hanrahan, Business Development Specialist @RyanCarson_

Just a hop and a skip away from the McCormick Convention Center, you will find the restaurant 14 Parish, which offers exotic Caribbean inspired dishes. Some of their more popular dishes include the Coconut Curry Shrimp and Island Chicken.

DRINK – Motor Row Brewery

Tony Panega, Business Development Specialist @T_Pain_2

Chicago summers can get a little steamy, so what better way to cool off with a nice cold beer? Head over to Motor Row Brewery to try a pint of their IPA Brexit Session. If darker beers are your thing, then the Fleetwood Black will tantalize your taste buds.

LISTEN – Reggie’s Rock Club

Kristen Holman, Sales Director @KristenHolman9

Looking to let loose and rock out after the event? Then head on over to Reggie’s Rock Club just a couple blocks northeast of the McCormick Convention Center. Check out their daily lineup to see who’s playing Thursday night after the event.

SEE – Prairie Avenue Historic District

Tony Kavadas, EVP Global Alliances @tonykavadas

If the postmodern architecture at McCormick starts to feel a little sterile, then cozy up with some historic Chicago architecture. The Prairie Avenue Historic District is just a few blocks north of the McCormick Convention Center, and provides a great opportunity to get outside for some fresh air and see historic residential designs. The district is bounded by Cullerton St. to the south, Wabash to the west, 16th St. to the north, and Prairie Ave. to the east.

EXPLORE – Chinatown

David DuVall, Business Development Specialist @DLDuVall

Chicago’s Chinatown is 10-minute walk west of the McCormick Center, where you can explore different shops, restaurants, and Chinese-inspired architecture. It’s a great escape and neighborhood worthy of exploring. Cai, Aji Ichiban, and Pop KTV are some places you definitely want to check out while there.
