About Ford Focus Rally: America
Focus Rally: America was billed as the ultimate interactive cross-country road rally. It originally aired in early 2011. Ford Motor Company teamed up with the Emmy-winning creators of the reality TV show The Amazing Race to bring Focus Rally to life. The show, broadcast on Hulu and other non-traditional means, followed six teams in a competition to win $100,000 and a new 2012 Ford Focus.
What Focus Rally: America Needed
The team approached Mediafly to find a way to get Focus Rally: America on a single connected TV platform. It became clear, however, that all of Mediafly's premier mobile and connected TV platforms were candidates for Focus Rally: America, to complement placement on Hulu and FocusRally.com.
What Mediafly did
Mediafly delivered beautiful, native applications on multiple platforms far faster and for less expense than the production team would have been able to achieve otherwise. The result was so successful that Focus Rally: America generated more than double the number of views on Mediafly's mobile applications as it did on both Hulu and FocusRally.com.
