Mediafly has brought together a team of exceptional leaders, each with broad business experience and expertise in the critical areas of technology implementation, business development, enterprise sales, finance and operations. The management team brings years of domain experience from leading companies such as:  Ariba, Bain & Company, General Electric, General Motors, Morgan Stanley, OnStar, Oracle, Robert W. Baird & Co. and Sun Microsystems.

Carson V. Conant 

CEO & President

Carson Conant founded Mediafly Inc. in 2006 with the vision of fundamentally changing the way media is accessed and consumed. Since that time he has focused on the delivery of world-class solutions and the hiring of top talent to propel the company and customers forward with digital media distribution. Formerly an executive with Nightingale-Conant, Carson provided that publishing company with dynamic business unit leadership and became a catalyst for turning unprofitable business units into drivers for growth. Carson is the holder of four patents including the founding Mediafly patent Methods and Apparatus for Sending Content to a Media Player (USPTO pending application). Graduating with honors from Lafayette College, Carson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Brett Mitchell 

CTO

Brett Mitchell co-founded Mediafly with Carson in 2006. With primary responsibility for the overall application strategy and solution architecture, Brett has provided the technological breakthroughs necessary to make Mediafly the leading media presentation platform used by large companies. A recognized leader in the Chicago technical community, Brett has provided executive leadership for multiple start-up organizations and built enterprise technology platforms adopted by industry leading organizations such as FedEx, DHL, Campbell Foods and Pepperidge Farm.

Matthew P. Suggs 

Vice President of Enterprise Sales

Matt Suggs joined Mediafly in March 2010 and is responsible for leading the sales and marketing efforts of Mediafly and driving revenue growth. Matt brings nearly 15 years of experience in sales and leadership roles from Oracle, Ariba, and GE. Prior his business career he served as combat engineer officer in the U.S. Army reaching the rank of captain, and was a gold medalist in the 1994 World Military Shooting Championships. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the University of South Florida.

Johnathan S. Evarts 

CFO & COO

John Evarts provides leadership and guidance in the areas of operational strategy, financial management and general administration. Joining Mediafly in March 2010, John brings ten years of C-suite experience having scaled small organizations (as CFO, AIDSCare) and transformed large organizations (as CFO, Lifelink Corporation). Prior to his executive experience, John provided project leadership for domestic expansion initiatives as AVP, Investment Banking at Robert W. Baird & Co.  Receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Miami University, John holds an MBA from The University of Chicago and regularly contributes to Miami as Alumni Leadership Mentor and Chicago Booth as Executive-in-Residence.

Jason Shah 

Vice President of Products & Engineering

Jason Shah joined Mediafly in May 2010 and is responsible for product development and engineering. His duties include all elements of product development, platform and integration engineering, customer delivery, and product marketing. Jason brings a strong background in client engagement and software product management, having experience from Neuros Technology, Bain & Company, and Trilogy Software.  He received his Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and his MBA from The University of Chicago.

Lou Jacob 

Vice President of Services

Lou Jacob Joined Mediafly in April 2011 and leads the services organization.  His responsibilities include all areas of customer support including pre-sales engagements, implementation planning, professional services, technical account management and customer service.  Lou has over 20 years of industry experience which includes a strong background in product management, enterprise computing, and consumer electronics. He has worked at such companies as Cray Research, Legent, SGI, and Sun Microsystems.  Lou received his Bachelor of Science in Computer and Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.

Keith Waxelman 

Vice President of Business Development

Keith Waxelman has been with Mediafly since September 2007, working with Mediafly leadership to initiate and maintain successful business relationships with Mediafly’s worldwide partner network. Keith’s talents have helped Mediafly establish long-term partnerships that serve as the cornerstone of our broad device strategy. Keith is a seasoned professional with experience working in both startup and Fortune 100 companies including experience at OnStar, Morgan Stanley and USF&G. Keith graduated Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania and earned his MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
