On his final appearance with TJ Rives on XMSN This Morning, Coach Barry Switzer talks about the weekend that was in the NFL playoffs. He credits the New York Giants victory to them taking a quick 7-0 lead, and to the pressure their defense was able to put on Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. He shared his two cents on Cowboys owner Jerry Jones making his way to the sideline late in the game, claiming that is just who Jerry Jones is; he genuinely cares and wants to be there with the team in victory or defeat. Switzer raves at the fact that the San Diego Chargers were able to knock off the Indianapolis Colts and did so with numerous backup players thrust into action due to injuries. He marvels at Green Bay running back and former practice squad player Ryan Grant’s 201 yard performance in the Packers win over Seattle. Coach breaks down the New England Patriots victory over Jacksonville and gives praises to Tom Brady, stating he sees no team left in the playoffs that have the ability to stop them.
