On Monday, April 3rd, WBAI's Wakeup Call headed to New Orleans for a special broadcast live from the occupied St. Augustine's Parish. The parish, one of the nation's oldest African-American churches, is slated for closure by the archdiocese. Parishoners and allies have occupied the rectory and are demanding that the Church stay open.

Wakeup Call host Deepa Fernandes was joined by parishoners, community activists, and mayoral candidate Tom Watson. Visit www.wakeupcallradio.org for the full rundown and links to the entire show.
