The trials and tribulations, joys and triumphs of Erin and Kristin - two working mothers trying to do it all, and do it all well (or just good enough)! Shows feature honest, funny chats about motherhood, pop culture, and the crazy act of balancing work and family.

Newly Addicted to Manic Moms - I love listening to Manic Moms while I am at work. I can listen and take phone calls (have my zune earphone in one ear, wireless headset on the other ear). I would compare your show to "The Mommies" for anyone that remembers that tv show. Thank you for having such a wonderful show!! Karen G

The Manic Mommies take the show on the road, interviewing Andrea Astrachan, in-house consumer advocate at one of our local grocery chains Stop& Shop. Andrea gives us great tips on how you can save time and money at the grocery store - no matter where you live!

Summer is almost over (sigh) and a mom's thoughts turn towards getting organized for the school year. To help us get started, we welcome Jennifer Dulski, working mom of two and co-founder and the chief executive officer at Centerd.com, a web site designed to help groups (big groups, small groups, friends, volunteers, etc) get on the same page. While the Manic Mommies love the idea of getting more organized, one of us (Kristin) is worried it's going to be harder than ever to avoid volunteering at the school.

Kristin's back from vacation and the summer is almost over! The kids will be back in school before we know it. This week we're joined by Archivist Alison, a professional archivist who provides great advice on how to clear out last year's precious memories to make room for all the new stuff to come. Alison also advises us on how to preserve photos for the long term and explains why being a hoarder or a purger is perfectly OK.

Our guest this week is Michelle Nicholasen, mother of 5 and co-author of the book "I Brake for Meltdowns: How to Handle the Most Exasperating Behavior of your 2- to 5-year-old."  A former documentary filmmaker, Michelle took her background in research and together with co-author Barbara O'Neil, has compiled a detailed manual for how to handle those everyday situations that usually result in two meltdowns: one being the child's, the other being the mom's. Learn some new tips for dealing with the tattler, the devil in the backseat and how to encourage sharing. The book is packed with practical advice for real life scenarios. We are big fans.
