Today Animal Wise Radio invites Sean Cosgrove of the Conservation Law Foundation to talk with us about National Ocean Policy, signed this week, as an Executive Order by President Obama. Forty years in the making, National Ocean Policy provides industry, ecologists and sporting enthusiasts a framework for conversation ...and planning. We'll dig into this conversation and try to understand how this order may help us all become better stewards of our ocean waters. Lewis and Paula Turner, pet lovers, pet shop owners, and big hearted thinkers are joining us to talk about their "modest proposal." They have a dream for shelters and pet shops to be working as partners in adoptions. Nathan Winograd joins us to celebrate passage of the Delaware Animal Protection Act, a law that mandates collaboration between shelters and rescue groups similar to California's existing Hayden Law, and Oreo's Law still pending in NY.

Animal Wise Radio gets healthier today with two of our guests! We'll noodle about the idea that sometimes LESS is MORE. Meet Bud Groth, enthusiastic and innovative founder of PetzLife Products Inc. His flagship oral care product may spare you and your pet any more tooth scaling procedures.
... And Margaret Gates, founder of the newly launched www.Feline-Nutrition.org, has lots of ideas about why LESS kibble is great for your cat, and how raw feeding can be as easy as possible with support from her web contributors and community. Finally, after Oreo's Law falters in NYC, second chances seem even slimmer for shelter animals. Nathan Winograd of the No-Kill Advocacy Center reports that the city pound is turning away recently approved rescue organizations while they review and update their policy at the end of August.
