Back in the day, Jaimy was one of the first producers who succeeded in making a living with house music. Being adopted by Amsterdam's Outland Records, just before their period of grandeur, Jaimy was responsible for half of all the music coming out of the Outland studios. He collaborated with many Dutch DJ’s, and engineered most of the other dance floor smashes.

After meeting his musical partner Kenny D - Jaimy & Kenny D. released most of their stuff with Black Hole Recordings, but also signed tracks and projects to United, Combined Forces and Paul Oakenfold's Perfecto label. Their smash hit “Keep On Touchin' Me”, got picked up and reworked by Erick Morill's Subliminal, and has been signed to Skint Records/Loaded for a UK re-release. They’ve remixed acts as Halo Varga, Lil’ Devious and Way Out West. 2001 saw the birth of Jaimy & Kenny D’s own label, Fatal Tracks, administered and distributed by Black Hole.

Jaimy's style is best described as progressive tribal house, very groovy with a lot of samba and tribal rhythms. His sets are a combination of groovy house with dark, sexy beats, vocals, lots of percussion and old classics that bring a great energy onto the dance floor.

Jaimy organizes his own Label night “Fatal Music presents Drum Mode” every month at different locations in Amsterdam and he holds a residency at the leading gay-event called Joystick Amsterdam.

Besides dj-ing, Jaimy is owner of the Fatal Music Group consisting of several labels like Fatal Music and Drum Mode. Through his labels, Jaimy will release his solo materials, projects with other artists and producers and Fatal Music will represent him as a DJ and Drum Mode will be another outlet for Jaimy’s solo productions. Already as from the beginning of both labels, they’re getting massive support by industry hero’s as Danny Tenaglia, DJ Vibe, Victor Calderone and Superchumbo, Chus & Ceballos, Tedd Patterson and Luca Ricci.

From an avid clubber who spent most of her weekends soaking up the club scene in Singapore and around it's region since the 1990s, to quite a lovely beat-serving jock behind the console, pleasing the palattes of the masses and inspiring people to listen and dance without prejudice; it seems to be yet another natural progression for this chocolate addict whose influences includes Aldrin, DJ Sonny, Effen, Dennis Ferrer, John Tejada, Tiefschwarz, Andrea Parker, Henrik Schwarz and Joris voorn to name but a few.

A rapidly rising talent surging out of Singapore into the global arena, EJ is one of the youngest self-taught DJ to hold a weekly residency at the morrocan-inspired Balcony Bar and making various appearances at Q Bar Singapore, Coccolatte, PURE@Ministry of Sound, Amino, Aurum by The Clinic, and notably, Kandi Bar by Hed Kandi, pushing the myriad kaleidoskopes of House and the simplicity of minimal. She have also graced the decks of Ministry of Sound Main Arena and Hacienda for corporate events.

Truth is, she is not Magda and she does NOT make the tea. But she can make you cry with her deep and soulful electro styling, all while maintaining her diversity without compromising on her signature attitude and flawless technique.

When not on her toes as an event programmer and a marcom exec, she breathes by the dj consoles, meddling with the sound of house, deep house, tribal house, tech house, minimal, progressive, techno, and almost everything in between. The future sees her as being intimately involved in her very own music and video productions.

World renowned flying Dutchmen Pako (Sekander Raisani) & Frederik (Frederik Borgesius) have been part of the international dance scene for over 15 years now, gaining worldwide recognition for their productions, dj’ing and live sets.
Pako and Frederik joined forces in their early days to produce numerous club-hits such as: ‘The Magic Shop’ and ‘Seaside Atmosphere’. Since 1996, Pako & Frederik's early releases on their own label Majestic Music led to immediate worldwide recognition, leading to numerous requests for their remix work on labels such as Nervous, DMC, Acetate, Dorigen and more.
They were also working with the GU brand closely and had released several singles for the label, such as ‘Beatus Possessor’, ‘Western Approaches’ and ’45 Minutes’. The duo was first featured on Global Underground in 1999, when John Digweed included their track ‘Blue Steel’ on his GU Hong Kong album, and then followed by a couple of signings on his prestigious Bedrock label. Their tracks have featured on compilations mixed by: Sasha & Digweed, Carl Cox, Anthony Pappa, Jerry Bonham, Derrick Carter, Remy and Slam and the duo finally released their own mixed compilation in 2002.
For this reason, they were chosen to launch Global Underground’s music imprint GU Music, which is Global Underground’s artists based label for singles and albums. Their first album was entitled ‘Atlantic Breakers’.

Since 1995 Pako & Frederik have performed live at international festivals like I Love Techno, Dancevalley (mainstage in 2004) and at numerous clubs worldwide such as Amnesia in Ibiza, Bedrock in London and Zouk in Singapore. More recently they have played live sets in Mexico, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Malaysia and the Dominican Republic.

In 2006 they started a new label called Sitrep. The first two releases are by the boys themselves, using their family names: Raisani & Borgesius. At the moment Pako & Frederik are busy working on their second album for Global Underground, and on several twelve inches and remixes for various labels.

Born and raised in Singapore, DJ Reiki is a local breaks stalwart & one of the most well known Djs in the circuit. It was in 1999 when she stumbled upon the hard hops of Omar Santana and the nu-skool breaks of Adam Freeland. Since then, her style of breaks gradually developed to sets of high impact tunes, frantic beats, swirling analogues and monster hooks.

Since Reiki’s first well-received club appearance in Phuture (by Zouk) and her debut promotional mixed CD entitled Equlibrium 001: Dawn of Breaks, she has moved on to spin for leading local breakbeat events such as Sirens, Phuture Breaks, Guerilla, Assault and guest spot in other parts of Asia, headlining Breaks Centro & Flava Breaks in Kuala Lumpur, Salem Innovation Sessions in Hong Kong and recently Breakzelecta in Bangkok.

Known for dropping wicked tunes that heat up the dancefloors, she has even supported drum n bass heavyweight DJs Aphrodite, Mickey Finn & John B as well as Asia’s breaks ambassador, Tony Tay (Zouk) and UK breaks heavyweight, General Midi.

Scenewise, Reiki has been a pillar in gathering breaks enthusiasts to promote domestic breaks culture as well as writing articles / reviews, but more importantly, documenting the music’s growing movement in regional portal - breakinasia.com.

Much like the film of the same name, 2001 was a Space Odyssey for the underground club scene as thanks to John Digweed, Pole Folder was introduced to the world with his debut single 'Apollo Vibes' becoming a genre defining classic in the years that have passed since.

This was followed over the course of the following year by the AA single 'Enter The Rhythm/Waxxx' and a third single, 'Dust', a track that many hold in high regard even to this day. From there, EP and single projects followed on such labels as Sunkissed Records and Mo-Do Records, whilst Pole Folder spent much of the next two years focusing on an artist album he had been commissioned to do by John Digweed, making him the first artist to produce an artist album for the prestigious Bedrock label.

The album, 'Zero Gold' featured collaborations with Brooklyn singer and songwriter Shelley Harland, fellow Belgian Sandra Ferretti and Kirsty Hawkshaw, and the album's blend of downtempo moods, brilliant melodies and cinematic soundscapes have earned it critical acclaim all across the world.

It's testament to this fact that tracks from the album have been licensed for use popular shows such as 'Nip/Tuck' and 'CSI'.

In the live arena, Pole Folder's career as a DJ and live artist continues to grow and has seen him perform everywhere from Europe to America and Asia, with such places as Miami, Moscow, Monaco, Tokyo and Buenos Aires just a few of the places he's been invited to perform, and this continues to increase on a monthly basis, with live tours and DJ gigs planned for the future in various continents of the world.

Pole Folder performs in Zouk Singapore this weekend - a night not to be missed!

In this edition, creator of Stellar Music Podcast - DJ Keishi - puts up a mix that was recently recorded at the 1st party of Stellar Music's 1st Anniversary @ Phuture (by Zouk).

Having being influenced by the sounds of Hernan Cattaneo, D-Formation, Remy, 16 Bit Lolitas & Luke Chable, Keishi has created a unique sound of electro & tribal veering towards chunky driving, progressive house in the late hours.

For nearly 8 years, Keishi (incidentally the 1st JUICE Mag DJ Quest 2002 winner) has spun in some of the biggest brand name events known throughout the world Global Underground, Ministry of Sound's Essential New Year’s Eve party, Space Ibiza World Tour; as well as just about about all the biggest clubs in Singapore in recent times (HOME, Clinic's Aurum, Zouk's Phuture, the now-defunct Liquid Room and Suba); and wowed audiences in Rotterdam, Holland (Progres-z at Club Nighttown), Hong Kong (Queen’s Club), Kuala Lumpur (Atmosphere & The BackRoom) & Penang. Somewhere along that timeline, Keishi has also warmed up for international artists such as Djs Sander Klienenberg, Dave Seaman, Slacker, Lucien Foort, Kasey Taylor, Electric Tease and Space Ibiza resident Jose De Devina & Tania Vulcano.

Renowned for his massive fusion of rhythms, from minimal house to tribal, progressive, tech, electro, techno and everything in between, Aldrin has consistently thrilled crowds of thousands with his flawless, genre bending sets, becoming a regular in-demand guest fixture at nights such as Renaissance in London, Pacha, Space and DC10 in Ibiza, plus special appearances at Danny Tengalia’s Be Yourself Party during the Winter Music Conference in Miami, and also at Arc in New York.

Riding high on his previous production successes , “Lettitia’s Dream” (Bamboo Music) & “Maybe Tomorrow” (Renaissance) & “Dig This” (Distraekt), Alrin's latest big room electro re-rub of “Love in New Wave” by local indie rock band Electrico, has already being championed by Pete Tong on his Essential Selection and Essential Mix shows, and looks set to blow up on an international scale. Inspired by the electronic music revolution of the early 90s and having an interest in mixing and music production since he was 16 years old; Eddie aka Nesh Project has managed to turn this "interest" into a mixing fury that drives the dance floor wild.

After 3 years living in China, Eddie has had a very influential impact on the clubbing scene - not only as a DJ but as a promoter. Eddie has recently shared billing with some of the heaviest hitters in the global dance music scene not to mention the support from Djs such as Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold, John Digweed, Sasha,Judge Jules, Hernan Cattaneo, Stephane K, Christian Smith, DJ Kai & Joachim Garraud.

He currently has 2 full-time residencies in China- Class Club in Shenzhen and G-Spot in Shanghai which he is not only the Resident DJ but also the Music Director, not to mention his radio experience with 2 years under his belt hosting his own shows as the 1st foreigner in Guangdong province.

When he brought in superstar John Digweed to China in Nov 2005, Eddie played alongside Digweed at every stop on the tour, setting the tone for the Chinese debut of one of the world's most sought after DJs. The last stop on the tour was a massive party with more than 10,000 people where the 2 legends Sasha & Digweed played back to back and yet, Eddie was there providing the support.

In May 2006, Eddie launched 2 huge tours with Paul Oakenfold & Hernan Cattaneo in cooperation with Chivas as sponsors, playing all major cities in China. Eddie played alongside the two legends at every stop on the tour. Paul Oakenfold's journal said, "The atmosphere is very alive though slow to build, Eddie Nesheiwat has the floor heaving as Paul took over slowing the tempo down before cranking it up!" Shanghai May 11Th 2006

It was during the mid 90s when DJ Justin discovered DJs Sasha and John Digweed through their excellent releases on JDJ and Renaissance, both who have been and remain a source of inspiration.

His musical taste and style was further influenced after he left for Melbourne, Australia to pursue his studies (1997-2004). Apart from giving him his first taste of playing out, the city with a vibrant dance culture also molded his current preference for less mainstream sounds.

==================

DJ Justin will be spinning at Stellar Music's 1st Anniverary Party 1.0 @ Phuture (Zouk Singapore) on Friday 9th March. All subscribers to this podcast are invited! Pls email kelvin@stellarbookings.com for complimentary passes. Each invite admits 2.

==================

A typical set from him these days includes anything from minimal deep house to driving progressive sounds, incorporating bits of funky tech-house and breaks and even the odd classics.

Equally comfortable whether playing to an intimate small room or taking it up a couple of notches in a main room, his has played in various venues including The Warehouse, Dome Club,Billboards Nightclub, The Milkbar, The Cage, Sirens Nightclub, and The Bunker Lounge in Melbourne, and Fuse, The Tunnel, Home Club, The Sound Bar, and The Liquid Room in Singapore.

After taking some time away from DJing in 2005/06, he has since returned to his passion again and looks forward to moving into production in the near future.

DJ Small, is by far one of the most well known DJs in Singapore. In contary to his namesake, his ability to work the dancefloor into a heaving mayhem is no big affair - in fact, he does it almost every weekend at his current residency at Attica, Singapore.

Making his debut at The Warehouse Disco in Singapore 17 years ago, his club residencies have included Amoeba, Milk Bar, H'uu Bar, Hard Rock Cafés in Singapore , Malaysia & China and clubs in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Citing hip hop, soul, funk, acid jazz as his musical influences, Small's forte is the entire spectrum of house music. In 2002 he was crowned Champion of Heineken Music's Found(at)Thirst competition held at Zouk in Singapore and went on to open for world renowned DJ Paul Oakenfold at the same event. He went on to take 1st Runner Up position in the competition's regional challenge.

DJ Small has also played for mega parties for crowds of up to 30,000 people - including 4 consecutive years for Singapore's New Year's Eve countdowns at Sentosa Island and parties in Bali, Jakarta, Manchester & Ibiza.
