Listen to a Beyond 50 interview with Marine Captain Brian Steidle who was able to gain access to the part of Darfur, Sudan where no journalist could penetrate. He was fired upon, taken hostage and unable to intervene. Capt. Steidle captured the crisis using on-the-ground video and took 1,000 photographs (that had to be smuggled out) for his film called "The Devil Came on Horseback."
